The Nebraska ThunderCats are dedicated to providing local support and fellowship for owners of the Fox body Ford Thunderbird, Mercury Cougar, Lincoln Mark VII and the MN12 body Thunderbird, Cougar and Mark VIII.

What is a “Fox” body?

Fox body is a term used to describe the chassis classification for a model of vehicle(s). The Fox body Thunderbird and Cougar were produced from 1983 through 1988 where as the Lincoln Mark VII was produced from 1984 through 1992.

What is an “MN12” body?

Like the Fox body, the MN12 was a chassis designation. Production began in 1989 model year for the newly IRS equipped Thunderbird and Cougar. It was joined in 1993 by the Lincoln Mark VIII. Production ran through the 1997 model year for the Thunderbird and Cougar and 1998 for the Mark VIII.

Are there any requirements to join the Nebraska ThunderCats?

The only requirement that the club has, is to have an enthusiasm toward the chassis’s listed.

Ownership of a Fox or MN12 bodied Thunderbird, Cougar or Mark series is not a pre-requisite, but the club’s focus will remain on these chassis’s specifically. Anyone with this enthusiasm is encouraged to join.

How do I become a member?

It’s easy. All you have to do is register on this site. Your email will be added to our distribution list so you will receive information regarding upcoming events.

Are there any dues for joining the Nebraska ThunderCats?

No, at this time we do not collect dues.

Does the club have its own email?

Yes, it does; events@nebraskathundercats.com It also provides email accounts to its members if requested.

How do I get an official Nebraska ThunderCats email account?

It’s easy. Simply send an email to our web designer,webmaster@nebraskathundercats.com requesting an account. Please include the user name and password you would like to use for this account.

Can members upload pictures and videos to the site?

Yes, they can. On the navigation bar to the left, click on “Photo Gallery” and then click on “Register.” You will be guided through the setup process for uploading pictures and videos.

Does the Nebraska ThunderCats website provide video hosting?

Yes, Click on User Videos. This is for members only.

Do members receive web space?

Yes. Email Matt at webmaster@nebraskathundercats.com to request it. At this time, we are not limited on web space. However, abuse of this feature will make it limited in the future, so let’s not abuse it.

Are there any club forums?

Yes there are. Although there are many different sites that provide forums to our club, the forum that is used most is located at: http://www.midwestthundercats.com/forums/index.php?showforum=26.

Can I post information and pictures about my car?

The short answer is yes, however we do encourage members to register with Motortopia (www.motortopia.com). Motortopia provides a very clean and well thought out website for posting vehicle(s) that you own. Our website has a Profile feature you can put your contact details as well as linking to your Motortopia page and it will link members directly to their Motortopia garage.

Is our club also on Motortopia?

Yes, it is. It can be found by clicking on “NETC on Motortopia” on the navigation bar to the left or by typing, http://netc.motortopia.com into your URL bar.

Do I have to join Motortopia to become a member?

No you do not. We do strongly encourage registration on Motortopia though because it is free and easy to use. We also chronicle our events on Motortopia as well as providing various multimedia downloads that are available to all membership.
